Super Cup

If you haven't heard, Fenerbahce beat Besiktas 2-1 in the Turkish Super Cup. With a 1-1 score coming on early, the last goal was anticipated till the dying minutes of the match. After the goal, Ibrahim Uzulmez was sent off, big surprise there.
No one really cares, I mean come one, it's BJK and Fener...... onto a real team Cimbom XD. What's there to say today.....hmmmm.....well supposedly a part of the cast from Harry Potter is supposed to come and visit Galatasaray and watch their training as well as get to meet the team. What's up with that? Harry Potter is whack but oh well, sadly their celebrities none the less. Other than that, I'm reading through the Galatasaray site and I see something about Hakan making Kalli happy and the defense being solid, but I'm too lazy to read through them. But about the defense, how can the defense be solid with Servet back there? Biggest garbage defender I've ever seen, just look at him, he wasn't even good enough for Fener.......hopefully I'm wrong and it'll turn out for the better.

Boluspor vs. Galatasaray

Yay Galatasaray managed a tie! ::sarcasm:: Even though they were leading 3-1 at halftime at Boluspor, the game ended 3-3. Hopefully they let the game tie up as to be respectful to their opponents, but not being able to see the game myself I can't say much. Work sucks, interfering with soccer / football ........ sad I know. Anyway, Lincoln scored his first goal for Galatasaray in the 33' minute with the other 2 goals coming from Ozgurcan (7') and Umit Karan (40'). I'm finally starting to anticipate the start of the season, August 13th is GS's first game if I'm not mistaken and hopefully this season will be the start of a bright future. Let's go CimBom!!!!

Change is Needed

Well at half-time yesterday I got annoyed of the game and didn't come back for the second half. Instead of watching it, I went out a bit, then to a wedding, then came back to find that Otelul had won 2-1 yet again! Oh my god! What a surprise!?!?!? A Turkish team lost to a weaker team? I can't believe it!
Ok, I'm sick of how all Turkish teams, including the national team, play like garbage against garbage oponents. When the national team plays against Brazil, they pick them apart and play like world champions, but when they play against Bosnia of all teams, they can't even tie and lose 3-2. Pathetic. Everyone knows that something needs to change, but when is this going to happen or is it even going to happen? I don't know what to say, Turks just don't know how to be and play like professionals....sad but true in most cases.

Trabzonspor Vs. Otelul Galati

The Trabzonspor - Otelul Galati (Romania) at the Huseyin Avni Aker stadium for the second leg of the Intertoto third round matches is going on at the moment and I don't know what to say. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Cup and Trabzonspor should easily win this game 4/5 to nothing but rather, it's 1-1 at half-time in this second leg after they lost the first leg 2-1. Trabzon started off brightly and got their goal in the 8th minute with Ceyhun and they were playing great football, but the in the 12th minute Otelul made it 1-1. Since that second goal the games been pretty dull, excluding a couple goal chances that Trabzon screwed up. Other than that, my excitement for the game just died out as I was sitting their begging for halftime to come around so I can go entertain myself.

Vacation

Sorry about not being around for awhile, was on "vacation" doing work and chores around the house. Had one trip to the beach and relatives visiting from Turkey so I been busy but I'm back now.

Roberto Carlos vs. Lincoln

If you haven't heard by now, may God be with you. But just incase you haven't, Fenerbahce has signed veteran left back, Roberto Carlos from Real Madrid, and Galatasaray has signed midfielder, Lincoln from Shalke. Of course with this signing, Fener fans are bragging about it and about how they are going to break away from the rest of the teams. Let's get real, Roberto Carlos is undoubtedly one of the best players that there were, but he is also undoubtedly past his prime. Now Lincoln on the other hand is still young and near if not at his prime. I'm not going to try to compare the two players cause they each are elites of their position but both positions take different skills. Either way, I think both will do really well in Turkey and Turkey will benifit from them both. Roberto Carlos may not bring all that Lincoln will be bringing but his name alone has helped Turkey. Who knows, maybe Lincoln may have decided not to come to Galatasaray if Roberto Carlos had not come. Lincoln on the other hand not only helped Turkey with his name, though not as much as Roberto Carlos has, but he will help bring Turkey's UEFA ranking up.
