First Post, Galatasaray Banned.....

My first blog post w00t w00t. Ok, enough of that. First thing I'd like to start off with is the stadium ban of 5 home games without fans which was given to Galatasaray. I no it's kind of a late topic, but with the new season nearing its start, I thought it would be worthwhile to talk about it. Anyway, all Galatasaray fans will agree with me about this being complete bull, but what about everyone else? Yes, they do deserve to be punished and I do not believe that the punishment is excessive, but the one problem I do see, which I'm assuming most fans of Turkish soccer also see (excluding Fenerbahce fans), is the difference is punishments to Galatasaray and Fenerbahce from the two derbys. Fener's ban was not only reduced, but their actions at Sukru Saracoglu were much worse than what the Cimbom fans did at Ali Sami Yen. Atleast we (yes, I'm a GS fan if you haven't noticed) didn't throw firecrackers at the goalies head and crack open the skull of your coach. The GS fans destroyed the stadium and Galatasaray has to pay for that damage. No member of Fenerbahce's team was harmed (don't start whining about getting hit with water bottles) or had bloodshed from what was thrown onto the field.
Everything that happened at that game was crap, the cops shouldn't have done what they did, the fans shouldn't have reacted the way they did, and everyone knew what to expect from the game as the GS fans were out for revenge after the actions of the Fener fans at Sukru during the first derby match of last season.
Either way, I want to see your opinions on whether the varying degrees of punishment are justified or not, so let me know.
